Chandler police are seeking the public's assistance in finding a 28-year-old man identified through DNA evidence as a suspect in a 2006 sexual assault.

Police have identified Guadalupe Olivas as the suspect in the attack on a woman in April 2006 as she walked alone through San Marcos Park near West Fairview and South Evergreen streets in Chandler, according to police.

Olivas, who has ties to Chandler and Phoenix, is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with short brown or reddish hair, weighs between 140 and 160 pounds and has acne scars on his face.

Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Olivas is asked to call (480) 782-4130.
