The Mesa Unified School District governing board will hear public comment - and possibly vote - Tuesday on proposed changes to extracurricular and athletic fees.
The district is considering a fee of $100 per sport at the high school level, with a $300 yearly maximum. Junior high students would pay $75 to play an intramural sport. Other fees that will be considered include those for creative arts, music and technical education classes, Kids Corner (the district's before- and after-school program), and extracurricular activities.
The meeting will be 5 p.m. at the Curriculum Services Center, 549 N. Stapley Drive. Comments can be e-mailed to fees@mpsaz.org. More information can be found online at www.mpsaz.org.
