After months of recovery, Scarlet, the shar-pei puppy rescued from a car engine by the Arizona Humane Society, will be up for adoption at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Campus for Compassion, 1521 W. Dobbins Road. A drawing for Scarlet will be held at that time due to the high volume of people expected to be interested in adopting her.

The humane society recommends that people arrive for the drawing between 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. Two runners-up will be selected as well as the winner in case the first individual or family turns out not to be the right fit for Scarlet. Potential adopters should bring their driver's license, lease agreement if renting, as well as other dogs from the household for a meet-and-greet with Scarlet.

Scarlet's recovery has been followed closely on project121.org and the humane society's Facebook page. To view all of the Faces of Project 121, visit www.project121.org.
