With the holiday this week, there are some changes in office and service hours for East Valley residents.
In Chandler, administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4, and there will be no recycling or trash collection. If your regular collection day is Wednesday, place your container at the curb July 5 by 6 a.m.
Thursday collection will roll to Friday, and Friday collection on Saturday. The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Facility, recreation and tennis centers, senior center, downtown center, libraries and museum will also be closed Wednesday. More details can be found at chandleraz.gov. In Mesa, Tempe and Gilbert, municipal offices will be closed Wednesday, although trash and recycling will be collected on their normal schedule.

I understand the normal office closures - this is a holiday.
However, I am disappointed that all of the Animal Control facilities are also closed.
July 4th is the number one day of the year for missing/stray pets.
