The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is hosting a safety fair from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Walker Butte K-8 Elementary School, 29697 N. Desert Willow Blvd., in the Queen Creek area.

There will be free food, drinks and face painting, as well as a water slide, jumping castle and rock climbing wall. Kids who bring their bicycle and helmet can ride through the sheriff's office bicycle safety course.

A NASCAR race car will be on hand to address consequences of drinking and driving.

There will also be demonstrations from the sheriff's office K-9 unit and the SWAT team's robot.

The sheriff's mounted unit will show off its horses, the sheriff's traffic unit will showcase new motorcycles, and Native Air Medical, Southwest Ambulance and Rural Metro Fire Department will display their vehicles and helicopters.

For information, call Sgt. Stormee Wallace at (520) 705-9545 or e-mail stormee.wallace@pinalcountyaz.gov.
