President Obama to visit Ahwatukee Tuesday for economic speech

President Barack Obama will visit Desert Vista High School in Ahwatukee on Aug. 6 to provide another speech focused on the economy.

According to a press release, Obama will provide an overview of a plan that emphasizes ways to strengthen the middle class and aid responsible homeowners. It will be another in a recent spur of speeches he has made about various parts of the economy over the last two weeks.

The speech, which is closed to the public, is scheduled in the early afternoon at Desert Vista. Following the event, Obama will travel to Burbank, Calif., to appear on the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, and will visit troops at Camp Pendleton in California the next morning.
