The sun officially went to work helping power Four Peaks Elementary as representatives from Salt River Project switched on the school's recently-installed solar panels.
As part of SRP's "Solar for Schools Program," Four Peaks received a 65-panel, 13.2 kWh solar system. Installed on the roof of the school's cafeteria, the panels will save Apache Junction Unified School District an estimated $1,800 annually in energy costs. SRP provided the panels at no cost to the district and will maintain the system for 10 years.
Four Peaks plans to install a monitor system to show students how much energy the school is saving, and will create lesson plans and activities involving solar power.

This is great! SRP charges their customers a monthly fee to accumulate monies to pay for solar panels that are given to the state schools that are run by taxpayers money, then our kids are indoctrinated by union thugs to buy-into the notion that corporations are evil because they are profitable............. profits that their parents need so they can pay SRP for solar panels that the state uses................................. just sayin
