Workers are putting the finishing touches on Apache Junction High School's new culinary building in preparation for the debut of the school's Culinary Arts Foundations classes when school opens Aug. 9.

As part of the school's Career and Technical Education Program (CTE), culinary arts will be offered to juniors and sophomores planning careers in food preparation or services. The foundations course will introduce students to the skills required for food production and preparation.

The culinary building will feature a fully-equipped kitchen, classrooms, individual work stations, sub-zero refrigerators, ovens and other brand-new appliances.

Information: (480) 982-1110.
