Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is opening a newly constructed 2,700-space Ray Road parking lot just in time for holiday travel.
The parking lot is located on the southeast corner of Ray and Sossaman roads.
"We expect the parking lot located adjacent to the terminal will be full," said airport executive director Lynn Kusy. "We will have plenty of parking at the Ray Road lot located east of Sossaman Road. Departing passengers should monitor signage upon entrance to the airport area for instructions on where to park. Like most airports, this peak travel period will result in some terminal crowding and I encourage Allegiant passengers to arrive two hours prior to departure to ensure they have an easy airport experience."
Allegiant recently started flights to Las Vegas, in addition to its other locations.
For a limited time, customers that make a purchase at the Paradise Bakery & Café located in the terminal's baggage claim area will be given $1 off their total parking bill. Customers must provide their parking token at the time of purchase to receive validation.

It is great that this airport is doing good. It's good for the local economy, the travellers, and the entire Phoenix area.
