Shaquille O'Neal is one busy retiree.

Since ending his pro-basketball career a couple of years ago, O'Neal, 41, hasn't exactly been on the sidelines. He's doing productive things, like surfing the Internet and looking at dumb people doing dumb things.

"Some are really funny," he said, "and some you wish you'd never seen in the first place."

The former is giving him a new career in TV. O'Neal is the star and producer of the new truTV Internet-clip show "Upload with Shaquille O'Neal," which follows a similar format as Comedy Central's "Tosh.0," with "Upload" mocking the latest comedy clips circulating around the web.

The show airs at 10:30 p.m. EDT Thursdays.

O'Neal and his staff pore over hours of clips for the show. Then he and comedians Gary Owen and Godfrey, who goes by the one name, poke fun at the funniest ones on "Upload."

O'Neal doesn't really mind his show's being compared to other video-clip shows on cable right now. "There are a lot of outrageous things out there," he said. "You can take the same clip and get a thousand different ways to look at it."

Fans also send him clips. A recent one that made him laugh was of a man trying to jump off a roof. "You see a lot of pleasant stuff, and you see a lot of unpleasant stuff," he said.

O'Neal occasionally tries to mimic what he's seen.

"I tried to climb a tree the other night, and I fell," he said.

Why did he do that?

"Because I wanted to climb a tree," he said.

Well, of course.
