Luke may be a tripod cat, but that doesn’t stop him from chasing toy mice, batting wands or leaping from one level of his kitty condo to another. The folks at AZ RESCUE say it’s like someone forgot to tell this energetic 2-year-old that he’s missing a front leg.

Not only does Luke have energy to spare, but also lots of love for people. One of his favorite pastimes is to nuzzle his head against yours and purr away. He loves petting, head rubs and chin scratches, and will show his gratitude with chirpy meows, more purring, and by sometimes placing his paw on your arm in a show of thanks. AZ RESCUE says he also likes to assist with office work by playing with your pen as you write. He will make a great companion to someone who is looking for a loving and loyal friend.

For more information on Luke, or other deserving animals, call Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs, which includes spaying and neutering and some inoculations.
