Remembering his brother and friend: Michael McAvoy of Scottsdale participated in the city of Tempe’s Sept. 11 commemoration event on Tuesday by reading the names of his brother, John, a New York firefighter killed while responding to the north World Trade Tower during the terrorist attacks.
