Cichan was the lone survivor on board the Northwest Airlines flight 255 that crashed Aug. 16, 1987 at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Cichan discussed the crash for "Sole Survivor," an upcoming documentary featuring stories of plane crash survivors. Thursday, Aug.16, 2012 marks 25 years since the crash in the Detroit suburb of Romulus kiled 154 people on board, including Cecilia's parents and brother.
