For such a little guy, 1-year-old Frosty has had to endure and overcome so much to become the playful joy he is today. Frosty was found as a stray on the streets of Glendale and had to be treated for an abscess on his leg. Then after being rescued, he came down with a miserable cat cold. Now healthy and whole, he's enjoying life as the carefree spirit he was meant to be.

Sweet and loving, Frosty will close his eyes and go limp when you pick him up and hold him close. The folks at AZ RESCUE say he thoroughly enjoys head and chin scratches, and it's easy to tell by his content expression and steady purr just how happy he is. Frosty is incredibly playful and loves to chase balls, toy mice and wand toys. Once he captures his toy, he proudly carries it around the room. Frosty also gets along well with other friendly cats and likes to engage them in play.

For more information on Frosty or other deserving animals, call Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs, which includes spaying and neutering and some inoculations.
