A bit of Las Vegas-style stage glitz is unfolding in a quiet little art compound tucked away in a Valley neighborhood.
Illusionist Craig Davis and performance partner Myryka are performing their show Davis Circus of Illusion weekly at the Wonders of the World Theater at Cattle Track artist colony in Scottsdale.
The performance delivers the artistry of illusion with the spectacle of circus, combining mind-bending magic, stunning costuming and dance, and illusions synchronized to original music.
In addition, Davis juggles seven balls and five clubs while balancing on a slack rope, and juggles swords on a plank several feet above the ground while riding a unicycle blindfolded.
Myryka — winner of the 2006 international competition Belly Dancer of the Universe — treats the audience to dancing and aerialist work.
Davis has staged his show at top Las Vegas resorts, including the Mirage and the Rio. He has also headlined at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
Opening for Davis and Myryka is comic magician John Fitzsimmons.
Two minutes from downtown Scottsdale, Cattle Track is a whimsical artisan community that’s home to creative artists and their works. Its Wonders of the World Theater has been custom fitted with stage, curtains and intelligent lighting to best present an intimate show.
