Valley Youth Theatre is bringing audiences Christmas from the Hundred Acre Wood.

The local theater company is performing the musical “A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail” for its 17th year.

In the much-loved show, Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet search the wood for Eeyore’s lost tail in an attempt to restore some Christmas cheer in the donkey’s humdrum life.

The musical plays through Dec. 23 at 525 N. First St., Phoenix. VYT is collecting new stuffed animals for its Operation Noah stuffed-animal drive, which provides a cuddly buddy for hospitalized children. Donations can also be made for the Sponsor-A-Seat campaign, which allows at-risk-youth to attend VYT performances.

Tickets cost $20. For information, call (602) 253-8188 or visit VYT.com.
