One of the best things about falling temperatures is the revival of the outdoor music festival — and a big one is on tap for country fans.
Valley native and Nashville star Dierks Bentley returns to Arizona Oct. 27 to headline KNIX Country Fest.
The new event, held at the amphitheater at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort in Maricopa, opens at 3 p.m. Saturday with newcomer Kristen Kelly, known for her debut single “Ex-Old Man.”
Gloriana, of “Kissed you Goodnight,” is on next, followed by Easton Corbin, whose hits “A Little More Country than That” and “Roll with It” are heralded for their throwback sound.
Bentley, whose song “Home” was named the official song of Arizona’s Centennial Celebration, will anchor the show. The Grammy-nominated artist just announced a co-headlining “Locked & ReLoaded” tour with country darling Miranda Lambert; it kicks off January 2013.
