Hailing from British Columbia, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra comes to the Valley for a special performance of the work “Totem,” composed by their artist-in-residence Edward Top.

Pianist Jon Kimura then performs Grieg’s “Concerto in A minor,” followed by Prokofiev’s “Symphony No. 5 in B-flat minor.”

The concert is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets range from $29-$49 and are available at ScottsdalePerformingArts.org or (480) 499-8587.
