Ever wanted to learn to kayak, rappel down a mountain, whitewater raft, fly fish or just set up a tent like you know what you’re doing?
Arizona Outdoor Women, a group started to give women 18 and older the opportunity to learn about camping, fishing and other outdoor activities in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, has announced its 2013 schedule. Day and weekend adventures include rafting the Upper Salt River (March 23) and the Grand Canyon (April), a midnight kayaking foray on Lake Havasu (May 25), mountain biking in Payson (July 20), overnight horseback and backpacking trips (September and October) and shooting with handguns (November).
Prices start at $40, and making early reservations is highly recommended, as some trips have few spots available. The full schedule is at www.arizonaoutdoorwomen.com.
