Actor Patrick Swayze is gone but not forgotten at one of Phoenix’s most unique entertainment venues.

Four years ago this September, the actor died of pancreatic cancer. To honor his legacy FilmBar, a Phoenix beer and wine bar that screens new, classic, cult and local indie films in a microcinema setting, is hosting “Swayz-tember.” The film series will feature some of the actor’s most popular movies. One dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to the Ronan Thompson Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Research.

“Road House,” “Red Dawn,” “Dirty Dancing” and “Donnie Darko” will be shown throughout the month. Tickets ($9), show times and movie trailers can be found at http://goo.gl/e41f5Q.
