Celebrate Mesa is back at Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main St., on Saturday, April 26, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This free event will be jam-packed with carnival games and rides, a petting zoo, music, live entertainment, a zip line, rock wall, bounce houses, extreme bungee jump, food and so much more.
City departments will have booths with information and fun, interactive activities for the kids. Police and fire vehicles will be on display, with a fly-in from the Mesa Air Unit. Mesa Solid Waste Department will show off its CNG trash vehicle, and Metro will have its LINK bus on display.
The community stage will have local talent performing musical acts, martial arts and other live demonstrations. New this year are the Phoenix Suns Fun Van, a guest appearance by the Phoenix Coyotes mascot Howler, and food trucks.
Admission is free, but there is a $2 fee for the zip line and extreme bungee jump. Raffle prizes include museum and pool passes, restaurant coupons and a $100 prize package from Fiesta Mall.
Sponsors of Celebrate Mesa include SRP, Fry’s Food Stores, Mesa Recycles, The Foundation for Mesa Parks and Recreation, and the City of Mesa.
The City will host another Celebrate Mesa event with a Halloween theme Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Red Mountain Park Soccer Complex. For information, go to MesaAZ.gov/parksrec.
