Children’s Museum of Phoenix is sending all the kidlets home for the evening and making way for some 21-and-older fun.

The multi-story museum loved by kids and families is bringing a beach party to its downtown Phoenix campus for its next adults-only Play Date on Friday, May 30.

Among the attractions that will be added for the evening to the museum’s already-fun standing elements — like the Schuff-Perini Climber and Noodle Forest — are food booths, cash bars, a dance floor, retro board games, giant versions of Jenga and Twister, rides on a mechanical surfboard, and Atari gaming projected on a 15-foot-tall screen.

Outdoors, a giant game of beer pong will complement the museum’s brand-new baseball-themed play yard, Move It.

Tickets, which are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, are limited. Guests must be 21 and older. For information, call (602) 253-0501 or visit ChildrensMuseumOfPhoenix.org.
