Brothers and Sisters Serving Others, an organization of 65 East Valley children and families eager to provide service in their communities, has partnered with San Tan Learning Center in Gilbert to host Walk a Day in My Shoes, a 1-mile fun run benefiting eight local families struggling with health challenges and mounting medical expenses.

The fun run takes place 9 a.m. Sat., Dec. 14, at Town Center Lake at Morrison Ranch, near Higley and Elliot Roads. The event will include family activities and entertainment, including bounce castles, face painting and music. Registration is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger. All proceeds will benefit local families in need.
