Dads may not get all the press and hoopla moms get, but they are equally worth celebrating. Arizona Science Center provides a way to do just that with “Dad-ology Day” on Sunday, June 16.
Not only do dads and granddads receive free admission to the Center, there is also a line-up of dad-centric events sure to please the rest of the family as well. Throughout the day, visitors can build and zoom “spud speedsters” around a race track, vying for the fastest time, or demolish electronics with a hydraulic presser called “Big Red.”
There are also a variety of scheduled activities dads and their kids can plug into, like a chemistry class at 11 a.m. and a circuit-making class at 1 p.m.
Other options include the IMAX theater productions “Tornado Alley” and “To the Arctic 3D,” the SkyCycle and 300 other themed exhibits spread throughout the museum.
