Science Café may sound like a new restaurant, but it’s actually a live — and lively — conversation with a real-life scientist that’s open to everyone.

Chandler Science Café, slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Gangplank will cover “Exploring the Planets: A Scientific Journey to the Earth, the Moon & Mars” with Mark Salvatore.

A geologist with ASU’s School of Earth & Space Exploration, Salvatore’s emphasis is on the evolution of planetary surfaces from a morphological and geochemical perspective. His research has focused primarily on hyper-arid and hyper-thermal environments in Antarctica and on Mars.

Chandler Science Café, presented in association with the Arizona SciTech Festival, is free to attend. For information, call (602) 888-3016 or email Eileen@ScienceArizona.org.
