"Take me out to the ball game. Take me out to the crowd. Buy me some biscuits and Scooby snacks ..." -- wait. That's not how the song goes. But it may as well Sunday, June 9, when the Arizona Diamondbacks invite fans to bring their dogs to the afternoon game against the San Francisco Giants.
Fido-focused festivities include a pre-game pup rally and vendor fair, and a parade of dogs and owners on the field’s warning track before the game starts. Afterward, dogs and their people can watch the game together from the bleachers.
Dogs must be at least 6 months old, and you must include a copy of current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian when you register. Your dog must be licensed, too.
All participants are required to register in advance; no walk-ups will be permitted. Tickets can be picked up at the Bark in the Park check-in table at Gate J, under the Seventh Street bridge. That’s where fans bringing dogs to the game should enter Chase Field.
$5 from every ticket goes to the Arizona Humane Society.
