If you’re looking to purchase some pieces of live-in art, or if you’re just in the mood for an entertaining evening out that supports a great cause, you may be interested in “Chairitable,” an art auction featuring hand-painted and embellished furniture by local artists.
“We asked 50 of the Valley’s best artists to donate their time and talents to transform ordinary chairs and tables into powerful art ... ,” says Eric Faulhaber, Visual Arts Coordinator with Vision Gallery, in a statement.
Along with the auction, the fundraiser will also feature music and a wine tasting. The money raised will go to groups that engage local children in the arts, including the Vision Kidz organization.
The fundraiser is a project of Chandler Center for the Arts, Vision Gallery and Chandler Arts Commission.
Chairitable is scheduled for 6 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave. Admission is free. Bids on chairs and tables start at $100.
