The littlest kids will likely be fast asleep long before the clock strikes midnight on 2013.
Fortunately, they can ring in the new year with their own celebration at Phoenix Zoo’s Noon Year’s Eve on Monday, Dec. 31.
Families will find, quite literally, tons and tons of snow for kids to play in, including a snowball target zone for big kids and a gentler space just for toddlers.
Magic shows are at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and Radio Disney will be on site, providing dancing, music, games and prizes.
Zookeepers will host animal encounters.
The event comes to a close with a sparkling cider toast at noon — giving mom and dad plenty of time to make it to grown-up parties that night.
DETAILS >> 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 31. Phoenix Zoo, 455 N. Galvin Parkway. $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 3-12. (602) 273-1341 or PhoenixZoo.org.
