Sisters Diana Wells and Martha Glazier not only share their DNA, they also share a passion for crafting. The sisters’ handcrafted soaps won them the title of Festival Favorite at the Feb. 1 Mesa Arts and Crafts Festival, a free event held every other Saturday in downtown Mesa.

The sisters enjoy experimenting and learning through the creative process and have fashioned soaps of different designs, colors and scents. Shapes ranging from bars to flowers and hearts to sleeping kittens can be found in Diana’s and Martha’s Oakleigh Expressions LLC booth.

The soaps are glycerin-based and have added ingredients, like coconut milk, shea butter, honey, aloe and baby butter. The Oakleigh Expressions Etsy.com store offers customizable soaps: You choose the scent, color and design. You can even buy customizable soaps of up to 24 party favors for your next birthday, baby shower, engagement party or other big event.

Diana’s and Martha’s goal is to sell their soaps out of a partner’s shop so they can focus on creating more of their lovely soaps and craft new products.

You can find the sisters April 5 and 19 at MACFest. You can also check out their Facebook page, their website (dewducky.com) or their Etsy shop (etsy.com/shop/oakleighexpressions).
