If you’ve ever tried to recreate the near-perfect look of Martha Stewart’s Christmas decorations, you know how frustrating it can be. Thanks to the Christmas Idea House in Gilbert, you don’t have to re-create anything. It’s already all there.
Located in the Whitewing Community of Germann Estates (2697 E. Germann Road), a new, custom built 9,000 square foot home is decked from top to bottom in Christmas decorations, ornaments and other holiday finery — and it’s all for sale, minus the house, of course.
The Desert Club hosts the three-day event, which begins with a Preview Gala at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5. Tickets are $70 and include a private tour, live music, a silent auction and gourmet food.
The house is also open at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, for a brunch, tour and shopping. Tickets are $40.
Public tour hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Admission is $12, and a $2 discount is available by bringing at least one canned food item for the United Food Bank.
Proceeds from the event benefit local charities and provide need-based scholarships to local students. Go to ChristmasIdeaHouse.org for more information.
