Celebrate the advent of the “Iron Horse” at the Arizona Railway Museum.

You’ll see unusual rail cars rarely open to the public, and get the opportunity to blow the horn on a diesel locomotive.

The day includes tours a variety of train cars, locomotives and engines, a visit with the Winslow Harvey Girls and displays of model trains and rare and beautiful railroad dining china.

DETAILS >> 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11. Arizona Railway Museum, 330 E. Ryan Road, Chandler. Free. (480) 821-1108 or www.azrymuseum.org.
