Every Christmas the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park sparkles with hundreds of thousands of lights, drawing crowds of parents, grandparents and children, anxious to climb aboard the open-air train and ride through the beautifully bedecked park or take a spin on the historic carousel.

The festivities begin Friday evening, with a tree lighting ceremony, festive entertainment, costumed characters, and an appearance from Jolly Old Saint Nick himself. With train and carousel tickets at $2 each, this is an affordable family outing. Is is also a popular December activity in the Valley, so be prepared to wait in line, particularly for the train. The Holiday Lights display runs through January 5th, with Santa on hand through Dec. 23.
