It doesn’t take much to get us out the door for a day trip to Red Rock Country, and this weekend’s Sedona Winefest is making the prospect even more tempting.
The two-day event is held high atop the town’s Airport Mesa, where the dramatic views are as big a treat as the wine itself — all-Arizona varieties from vineyards in the Verde Valley, Prescott and Southern Arizona.
While you sip, you can stroll through a juried art show with original work for sale, sit and listen to live music, or munch on food available from a variety of vendors.
Sedona Winefest is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 22-23 at Sedona Airport, 235 Air Terminal Drive. Tickets are $20 at the door, or $15 if you’re 65 or older. Entry includes a commemorative glass and six tasting tickets. For information, visit SedonaWinefest.com.
