Born of Jewish immigrant parents, Jack Earle was a circus performer, artist, silent film actor and — at 8 feet 6 inches — one of the world’s tallest men. His nephew, Valley psychologist Dr. Andrew Erlich, wrote a true-life novel about his “Uncle Jake” and will discuss it at Changing Hands Bookstore.
