COCKTAIL OF THE MONTH

Lavender Lemon Fizz

Last summer we got hooked on Salut Kitchen Bar’s Lavender Lemon Fizz, a refreshing spin on the classic gin fizz cocktail that goes for $8-$12. One look at the drink, served in a frosty, glacial blue glass made from a Bombay Sapphire gin bottle, and our temperature dips a few degrees. Just the thing for sipping on hot afternoons at the pool or sweltering evenings on the patio, here’s how to whip up one at home.

Ingredients

1.5 oz. Copper City Gin

1 oz. lemon juice

3/4 oz. lavender syrup

Dry lemon soda

1 lemon wedge

1 sprig fresh lavender

Procedure

Fill a glass with ice. Add first three ingredients. Top with dry lemon soda. Garnish with lemon wedge and lavender sprig.

Salut is at 1435 E. University Drive, Suite 12, in Tempe. For information, call (480) 625-3600 or visit SalutKitchenbar.com.
