When the weather heats up, our thoughts to turn to cool, fruity concoctions fitting for pool season. Ben & Jack’s Steakhouse reads our minds with its refreshing Kiwi Twister, which, coincidentally, pairs will with this weekend’s Mother’s Day menus and festivities. The blend of vodkas, Chambord and orange juice costs $12.95, or $7 during happy hour. Here’s how to shake one up at home:
2 ounces strawberry vodka
1/2 ounce mango vodka
1/2 ounce lemon vodka
1/2 ounce Chambord
1 whole medium kiwi, peeled
2 small grapefruit wedges, juiced
splash of orange juice
1. In a shaker tin, muddle kiwi with ice, and lemon and mango vodka.
2. Add strawberry vodka, Chambord, juiced grapefruit and splash of orange juice.
3. Strain (double strain if not a fan of the kiwi seeds) into a sugar-rimmed cocktail glass.
