If you don’t have July 24 marked on your calendar, get out your red pen and circle National Tequila Day. TQLA in Mesa — the Valley’s only tequila on tap restaurant — is celebrating with a variety of food and drink specials, including $6 margaritas, half-priced fajitas, $2 discounts on tequila tap shots and $5 discounts on all tequila flights. There will be margarita-making classes taught by TQLA mixologists and ‘tequila ambassadors’ on site giving the history and background of the Mayan drink.
“We hope to bring the culture of Mexico, as well as the tastes of the Yucatán Peninsula to the American Southwest,” TQLA Tequilier Scott Lindsey, said in a statement.
TQLA is located at 1840 S. Val Vista Drive, Mesa. More info is available at (480) 813-8752 or www.tqla.com.
