So sad. Elephants don't belong in circuses. Are we still so backwards that forcing majestic intelligent elephants to perform stupid human tricks for us is entertainment?
And it's well documented that what they do to train elephants, starting from babies, is seriously inhumane. If people would quit going to these things it would all stop and we could actually evolve and put this outdated form of "entertainment" behind us in the dark side of our history. We have sanctuaries full of abused and tortured circus elephants. Please stop supporting this activity by not going.

It really saddens me to see this. If you know anything about elephants, you will understand how horrible this is. Yes, they are extremely intelligent, and form life-long relationships, and as the saying goes, they never forget. These animals are subjected to inhumane treatment from a very young age. Of course. How do you control an animal this size without first proving who is boss? Animal Basic Training 101.
Most animals, and I mean domestic animals, respond well to kind reinforcement training, and become willing participants in the training itself. Training is essential in the case of pets, and horses.
Many large wild animals tend to respond only to bullying and cruel methods of "control."
I DO hope you stay home. Please do not encourage this animal cruelty.
