HOME SHOW: More than 700 displays will be set up for Arizona’s largest home show, Maricopa County’s Home & Landscape Show, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Arizona State Fairground, 1826 W. WALLPAPER CLASS:

Learn how to decorate with faux finish wallpaper at a free workshop 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today and Sept. 30 at Lowe’s. www.lowes.com.

GARDEN BIRDS:

See if you can spot some of the 270 bird species during a guided walk 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Boyce Thompson Arboretum, 37615 U.S. 60, near Superior. Park admission is $7.50 for adults, $3 for ages 5-12. (520) 689-2723.

BOTANY101:

More than a dozen farmers markets are going on in the East Valley. Mesa Community Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to noon Fridays at the Mesa Community Center, 263 N. LUMINARIA TICKETS:

Tickets are on sale now for the 29th annual Las Noches de las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden. The event, featuring thousands of luminarias along the garden’s trails, a catered buffet, live music and wine tastings, will be 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 24 through Dec. 23.
