Wish someone good luck with pink heather. Say "I secretly love you" with gardenias.

Find out just what message you’re sending with each bouquet of rosebuds or daffodils during the Language of Flowers Show 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Sunday at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Superior.

The exhibit of living blossoms lets you stroll the garden at your own pace, reading about how flowers have been used throughout history for discreet and diplomatic communication. Bernard Callebeaut Chocolatiers will offer gourmet confections 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Admission to the arboretum is $6 for adults, $3 for kids ages 5 to 12. Chocolates are $1 per sample or six for $5.

If you finish early, head up the highway to Globe, where the 20th annual Historic Home & Building Tour takes travelers back to the romance of Valentine’s Days past.

Chauffeured cars and vans escort tourists to five homes and three buildings 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tours are $4 to $7 per person. Optional stops include the Buffalo Soldiers section of Globe Cemetery, a pancake breakfast and chili lunch.

Other activities over the weekend include free antiques and quilt shows, Apache basket-weaving demonstrations, a locomotive engine display, musical performances at the historic courthouse, two dances and the musical "Broad Street Does Broadway." Inquire at Globe City Hall or the Chamber of Commerce for times and locations.

And be sure to send a bouquet of sweetpeas to say, "Thank you for a lovely time."
