In England, Cornish tin miners are credited with popularizing what are known as pasties or oggies, semicircular pastries traditionally filled with a mixture of beef, potatoes and onions. East Valley diners can enjoy these English favorites at Cornish Pasty Co., which recently opened a location in Mesa.
