It didn't take long for 10-month-old Rocky to make every R.E.S.C.U.E. volunteer within meowing distance fall in love with him. Workers at the Valley animal rescue group just couldn't resist the lovable little guy.

Rocky, an orange tabby, will sit down next to you (or on you) and kick his purring and kneading into high gear. He adores being held, and volunteers say he seems to smile up at you. Rocky also likes belly rubs. He'll stretch out on his side and flash another grin as you rub his tummy.

Playtime makes Rocky happy, too. He likes chasing toy mice and balls across the room and will often skid into the wall as he enthusiastically chases his prey.

Rocky gets along well with other easy-going, friendly cats, so a home with another feline would be acceptable.

For more information on Rocky, or other animals that need homes, contact R.E.S.C.U.E. at (480) 598-9410 or azrescue.org. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs; the fee includes spaying or neutering and some inoculations.
