Three Valley residents will be featured on the second season of MTV's "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," which premieres 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Exotic dancer Samantha, music industry worker Serenity and go-go dancer Vanessa - the cable network doesn't release last names - are among 30 participants who will try to win the bisexual beauty's heart on the reality dating show.
"I think everyone wants to look for love somewhere so why not TV, too," says Serenity, a 25-year-old Scottsdale resident. "It seems like no matter where you look someone is trying to find love."
And though Tequila picked a man last year - she dumped him after the show ended - that doesn't deter Vanessa.
"In the game of love, there are no rules," says the 25-year-old Phoenician, who goes by "V" on the show. "You can't help who you fall in love with. Just because someone falls in love with a man one time doesn't mean they're going to fall in love with a man the next time."
"I really wanted Tila to pick a woman this time because obviously last time she picked a man and it didn't work," says Samantha, 23, also from Scottsdale.
Perhaps spilling the beans she doesn't stay around too long, the dancer at Bourbon Street Circus in Phoenix adds: "I don't know who won yet but I really hope she did pick a woman this time."
Samantha says it was difficult to form attachments with her fellow Arizona girls.
"They're really nice but it's hard to become real good friends with someone because the second you get to know someone there's an elimination and either you're gone or they're gone," she says.
Viewers will be surprised season two is crazier than the first, says Serenity.
"I think there's more drama this season for sure," she says. "There's a lot more fighting for her love, literally. I think there's a lot more people that put their whole heart out there, too."
"Everything gets a lot more exciting this season," she says. "They really take it to the max. The girls on this season are incredible looking. They actually look like models. I actually felt a little strange around all of them because they were all so hot."
And what was star Tequila like?
"I thought she was amazing," says Serenity. "She's really down-to-earth and very sweet. I definitely had an instant connection with her."
"She's a really cool chick," says Vanessa. "She's really open-minded. I love that she has such an array of interests and things that she's into and how talented she is. She's really cool to talk to. She's an awesome person and she's always on top of her game."
While many TV critics slammed the show for being fake, Samantha says Tequila is really looking for love.
"I could tell she needed someone," she says. "She wants to be with someone like everyone else does. She has this life that's a lot faster so it's really hard for someone to deal with that. I definitely think she will find love."
"Everything was really real," add Serenity. "There were real feelings in the house, real emotion. There was a lot that went into it. I think a lot of viewers might think it's fake because they weren't actually there, but it's real."
