Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved books about early Americana take on a brand-new frontier in the uplifting new musical "Little House on the Prairie." The show stars actress Melissa Gilbert, who played "Laura" for 10 years in the 1970s and 1980s television series of the same name, as "Ma."

The show stars actress Melissa Gilbert, who played "Laura" for 10 years in the 1970s and 1980s television series of the same name, as "Ma." The musical is directed by Francesca Zambello, of Disney's "The Little Mermaid" fame, with music by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman and book by Rachel Sheinkin, Tony Award winner for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."
