“Toy Story” DVDs or downloads on heavy rotation in your household? Consider taking the kids to see their favorite characters from the films in life-size action right before their eyes.

Disney On Ice presents Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3” beginning Wednesday at U.S. Airways Center.

Inspired by the No. 1 animated movie of all time — 2010’s “Toy Story 3” — and memorable moments from “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2,” the show follows Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang as they escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare — and the clutches of not-so-cuddly Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.

DETAILS >> Opens 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and continues, various times, through Sunday. U.S. Airways Center, 201 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix. $14-$68; opening night tickets are available buy-one-get-one-free. (602) 379-7800 or www.usairwayscenter.com.
