Rescued Chihuahua dogs will be up for adoption Sunday at Sun Lakes, a retirement community south of Chandler. The event sponsored by Arizona Chihuahua Rescue is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cottonwood Country Club, 25630 Brentwood Drive, Sun Lakes.

The rescue group will try to match with the right families some of the more than 200 dogs now in its care. Arizona Chihuahua Rescue just took in 31 dogs last Sunday from a puppy mill raid in Monte Vista, Colo.
Arizona Chihuahua Rescue has several volunteers who will bring foster dogs to Sun Lakes in hopes of finding them new homes.
