Disney On Ice is back in town, and the show is bigger than ever with a cast of 47 performers from 10 different countries, representing 65 characters from 18 stories.
Performance director Cory Obst believes parents will be surprised at the enormity of the show, which includes a 20,000-pound, three-story castle and a 40-foot whale.
Disney knows how to impress and captivate an audience, and you can bet every member of your family will be entertained. When asked if the show included anything to hold the interest of my 10-year-old son, Obst answered, “this is not a princess show.”
Of course, there will be plenty of princesses, but they will be sharing the ice with many endearing and timeless stories from Disney’s 100 years of creativity. Families will enjoy traditional Disney favorites like Snow White, Pinocchio and Mickey Mouse, as well as characters and stories from Disney/Pixar creations, including The Incredibles and “Finding Nemo.”
But the enormity and scope of the show isn’t even the best part. The best part, according to Obst, is getting to spend two hours with your family, disconnected from your phone, watching a live performance with characters you all love. How can you beat that?
