Meet Delta, a young, tricolored Rottweiler mix who's been waiting for a home for more than three months.
Found as a stray, she's sweet and playful, say volunteers at the Gilbert shelter where she's been staying. Delta adores walks and rides in the car, and she gets along with other dogs. However, rescuers say she's extremely nervous around other dogs until she gets used to them. Introductions should be done slowly and carefully so Delta doesn't feel too scared or overwhelmed.
She currently weighs in at 45-50 pounds and will be a large dog, so it's advised that she goes to a home with adults or adults and teenagers.
Delta is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped. For information on adopting her or another pet in need, contact Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary at (480) 497-8296 or www.azfriends.org.
