No ticket to the Academy Awards ceremony at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre? No worries — you can see plenty of celebrities Sunday, right here in the Valley.

The Jack In The Box Celebrity Shootout will bring a host of recording artists, television actors and movie stars to town to play basketball for the benefit of local charities.

The event, in its ninth year, tips off at 2 p.m. Sunday at US Airways Center in Phoenix.

Recording artists Ciara and Jordin Sparks will serve as coaches during a celebrity basketball game, and several Phoenix Suns players will preside over various contests and promotions. The Suns Gorilla, Suns Dancers and Verve Sol Patrol will also entertain spectators.

Among the celebrities scheduled to attend are:

Bow Wow, recording artist and actor (“Roll, Bounce”)

Common, recording artist and actor (“Terminator Salvation,” “Wanted”)

Michael Clarke Duncan, actor (“Sin City,” “The Green Mile”)

Clark Gregg, actor (“Ironman II,” “New Adventures of Old Christine”)

Jay Harrington, actor (“Better Off Tedd,” “Summerland”)

Honor Society, recording artist

Jamie Kennedy, comedian and actor (“Ghost Whisperer”)

Nancy Lieberman, former WNBA player

Christopher Mintz-Plasse, actor (“Superbad”)

Josh Morrow, actor (“The Young and the Restless”)

Frankie Muniz, actor (“Malcolm in the Middle”)

Ryan Rottman, actor (Nickelodeon’s “Gigantic”)

Columbus Short, actor (“Stomp the Yard,” “Armored”)

Brittany Snow, actor (“American Dreams,” “Hairspray”)

Geoff Stults, actor (“She’s Out of My League,” “Happy Town”)

Nick Swardson, actor (“Reno 911,” “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan”)

Tank, recording artist

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and you can even play the part of the paparazzi with your digital camera. Just don’t record any video or audio; neither format is permitted.

Money raised from the shootout will benefit Phoenix Suns Charities, Suns Nite Hoops and Cox Charities. The team’s charities help kids programs in education, health and human services, the arts, sports and recreation and rehabilitation.

Suns Nite Hoops is a nonprofit that builds life skills, educational advancement and job readiness in at-risk young men by providing them with positive alternatives to drugs, gangs and violence.

Tickets are still available at (800) 745-3000 or www.USAirwaysCenter.com.
