It’s guest stars galore as the May sweeps period begins — in April.

On "7 th Heaven," airing 7 p.m. today on KASW-TV (Channel 61), a thunderstorm threatens to keep former series regulars Barry Watson and Jessica Biel from returning for their TV sister’s wedding. Will they make it to the chapel on time? Hold onto your pews. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Rocker Elvis Costello gets the best of "Frasier" at 8 p.m. Tuesday on KPNXTV (Channel 12). The singer turns up in the Cranes’ favorite coffeehouse, and his mellow demeanor annoys Frasier to no end.

Pop singer Jessica Simpson is alone and frightened as a babysitter in "The Twilight Zone" at 8 p.m. Wednesday on KUTP-TV (Channel 45). Seems that her charge’s dolls aren’t exactly the Ken and Barbie types.

After nine years on the air, "Friends," airing 7 p.m. Thursday on KPNX-TV (Channel 12), has discovered a person of color living in their version of New York City. Former "Talk Soup" host Aisha Tyler starts a four-week run on the popular sitcom, catching the eye of Ross.

And in what seemed destined to be a monumental showdown on "Will & Grace," 8 p.m. Thursday on KPNX-TV (Channel 12), Madonna plays Karen’s new roommate. They get along famously as they share interests in clothes, nightlife and men. Let the catfight begin.
